Red Wings announce Zetterberg out at least 2 weeks with “slight” shoulder separation

So there’s the official announcement from the team. Awesome. Could have been worse, but the level of suck on this one is still off the charts.

They’ll need to call someone up for this weekend. I have no idea who. Mursak’s been hot, so he’s a possibility. Emmerton’s a center, but Megan said “no way” last night. McGrath can play center, but he’s had a bad season so I’d call that unlikely. Tatar is off to the WJCs, but was never likely anyway.

Craig Custance is on the ball, relatively speaking, with the MRI results: he reports that Hank will be out at least two weeks with a slightly separated shoulder. Nothing official from the team, but this is the best we’ve got for now. (via A2Y comments)
