So if two goals in one game have a good chance to give him a confidence boost, what will four goals in two games do? A lot, I hope. Can’t expect that every night, obviously, but if he can hit a reasonable scoring stride, the Wings will be in good shape.
Like I said, we missed the game due to a wedding, so check out reactions from other bloggers: Big Red Machine, Hockeytown Static, and The Production Line.

Yeah, I’m confused, and I’ve been pro-Bert most of the year. He went from not being able to handle the puck at all and not being able to keep shots on the rink to being able to snipe corners, control the puck on a spin-o-rama move and tuck it inside the post, and pull away from, and hold off, two defenders and deke the goalie and score. WTF?
If Bert found his hands, look out. He’s been getting the best chances of any Wing all year, and if he gets a finishing touch, this could get fun. I know Bert isn’t gonna score 50 goals, but getting him going could be the key to the puzzle. Bert with confidence could very well lead to a Pav with confidence. They have been showing chemistry, and if Pav can trust Bert to finish now and then, he could take off. Not to mention those triple teams Pav has been dealing with will become double teams real quick if Bert is dangerous. It also means we could keep Pav and Z apart, which we need to do with all of the injuries to have 2 decent lines. Again, this is assuming Bert can stay semi-consistent for a while. I think he can, he really looks to be having fun on the ice for the first time since the Moore incident.
Just imagine if this team can keep it together until they get healthy and make the playoffs. A line of Pav, Mule, and a confident Bert? I dare any team in the league to stop that.
