Game Day Open Thread: vs. Calgary

I’ve been tied up all day with stuff involved with getting a washer and a dryer to the house and hooked up, so I haven’t been able to post. Since gametime is less than three hours away, I’ll pass on the usual game day notes and stick with an open thread.

Hope you have FSN+.

    :(

Frigging Pistons. I understand why they put the Pistons on the main channel last game with them playing Cleveland and LeBron and all. But tonight they're playing the freaking Clippers. Seriously? Pistons and Clippers over Red Wings and Flames??? What a complete joke. I can't stand the NBA anyways, but now it's really pissing me off.

  2. John W. says:

Seriously, if Babcock uses the same line combos tomorrow I might start calling for his head. It's 3-0 right now, we've scored like 2 goals the last 5 games. I don't give a shit how many shots we take, it's not working. Time to change it up, this lineup is stale. I don't understand why he keeps rolling the same lines out there every game.

  3. John W. says:

Back 2 back shutouts at home. Completely and utterly pathetic. What do you got Babcock? Anything? That should never, ever happen. Totally unacceptable.

  4. Ryan says:

    Wings fans,

In the tight and competitive west when do we start to panic about our team? I still think these games are growing pains…but at some point we need wins!! Or at least a goal…any thoughts?

  5. Richter says:

Hopefully, this is the beginning of the end of Babcock's tenure with the Wings and Holland might be right behind 'em. Certainly seems that way.

I don't know what to think. Only thing I do know is if I read tomorrow the following I might scream:

"The lines combos in practice were:

    Bertuzzi-Datsyuk-Holmstrom…"

Luckily I'll be Up North all day so I won't have to read that. Should be home just in time for opening face off. I'm kinda hoping since the 2 games in Sweden against the Blues started this whole mess, maybe a win against them will end it.

Turns out not having FSD+ was a good thing this week…
