Quick Updates

Update (3:14 PM): Ansar Khan has more from practice

… The team is still waiting on results on Lilja’s tests. Khan and the other beat writers  ideally will check in with the team later in the day, so we may know more this evening.

… Hossa hopes be back in the lineup Thursday.

… Babcock said Hudler should be able to go tomorrow night.

… Based on the practice lines, Homer will skate on the third in his return. Probably not a move that will make him happy, if it sticks through to game time. Not that an angry Holmstrom is a bad thing by any means. It’s probably just what this team needs.  - Matt

Update (1:36 PM): St. James her piece linked to below with the news that Hossa is still out for tomorrow night’s game. And Jiri Hudler was sick today and missed practice. No word on his status tomorrow.

On the good news front, Holmstrom is in against Phoenix. - Matt

Helene St. James reports that Marian Hossa returned to practice today. No word yet on how fully he participated or on his status for tomorrow, but the return itself is encouraging.

… Aaron Downey has been sent back to Grand Rapids, setting the stage for a Tomas Holmstrom return tomorrow night against Phoenix.

… Jonathan Ericsson is still with the team pending reevaulation of Andreas Lilja and his headaches today. It’s possible Lilja will be put on LTIR, which would leave enough cap space open for Ericsson to stick around.
