Yeah, that pretty much sums up my feelings, too. Nobody had a good game, really, except maybe Franzen or Leino.

That said, I don't even think it was a particularly bad game for the Wings after the first period. The first period was brutal, but after that, they played at least even with the Wild…which would be good for most teams, but is well below what the Wings are capable of.

I thought Nolan's second goal was a pretty weak one to allow, but still unfortunate that this was Howard's game. I hope he gets another kick at the can.

  2. Kyle says:

Agreed, the quicker we forget about this game the better. I thought Howard was good, but the team did not show up, and for the first time all year, it started right at the top. A big let down coming off a string of great efforts and going into the San Jose game.

    Ryan,

It wasn't their worst game, no. That's part of my reasoning for wanting to just forget it and move on. Since it wasn't their worst, it's not worth recounting or dwelling on. That the Wild were able to shut them down in their own building is next to meaningless in my mind.

In the team's performance in front of Howard you have something to remember, but that's about it. They don't seem to get up to play for the kid, that's for sure.

    Kyle,

I think the team will turn it on again for San Jose. They hit a funk Saturday night, but I don't see that happening Wednesday.
