This post by George Malik shoots a big hole in a defense I’ve used against those who like to highlight the attendance problems at the Joe. I’ve thought many times, “If you could just see the TV ratings, though!” Well, that doesn’t apply this season, apparently. At least two possible explanations, since the Wings’ attendance hasn’t gone up that much: interest in the Wings is down this season or people are cutting back on their expenses to the point of dropping cable. Which is it? And which is worse?
