Update (8:57 PM): After posting this, I shot an email over to Ansar Khan to see if he’d heard anything about Rafalski turning down an offer.

He replied saying he hadn’t heard anything, but guesses Rafalski did get an offer and turned it down. He pointed out that players make plans with their families when they don’t make the team originally. Makes sense.  – Matt

Seriously? They needed an injury replacement and they picked Robidas over Brian Rafalski? Please tell me they asked him and he declined.
