Ryan Doherty reports that Darren McCarty has accepted the Wings’ contract offer. The official site reports that he’ll stay in Grand Rapids for two weeks on a conditioning stint, after which “he’ll likely rejoin the Red Wings with the hopes of winning a roster spot.” So, it looks like earlier reports that had Mac in GR for the rest of the regular season were wrong.

The Grind Line lives again! The Wings need the spirit Darren can deliver down the stretch. It is part of the formula they’ve been missing over recent years. When the defence once again becomes healthy, nothing can stop the Wings!

With Darren back with wings, it’s just great “News”. Now we need to resign Sergi Federoff, and we will be good to “Go”. aND, GET THE REST OF THE CREW BACK. Stanley Cup here it comes, back to Detriot.
