http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=229304&hubname=nhl

Out 6-8 weeks!? Wow. I am very surprised, but I guess the fact that the jaw fracture requires surgery means he can't go out there and wear a cage like some players do for broken jaws. Still, that's a huge blow to the Wings and a lot more time out than I had thought. Maybe it's more than just a broken jaw, i.e. broken cheek bone, orbital, etc.

Cleary's injury doesn't seem so bad compared to what happened to a linesman in the Rangers/Flyers game today...

I know you were comparing the injury to Blake's because of the "nondisplaced" nature of the fracture, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Cleary back in a week with a full cage on. Don Cherry seemed to think he'd be back soon and added "Way to go, Danny, you'll be alright, hang in there."
