I agree about Zetterberg and Lidstrom. Zetter is scoring and making good plays, but it still just seems like there's something missing. I can't put my finger on it. Lidstrom had a particularly bad night against Edmonton. But then, Lidstrom's bad night is still better than good nights of most other defensemen. He's still good. I have to disagree with soft watch here, Rafalski has not been our best defenseman. Lidstrom is still above the rest. If we were even going to consider someone else, it'd have to be Chelios. He has been amazing. Kronwall has been hitting hard, which I appreciat. Overall, I think our defense is in good shape. Our offense isn't doing bad either, even with Zetter's...whatever. He's still getting the points, Homer's getting a goal a game, and Sammy has apparently woken up. From where I sit, things look pretty good for the Wings.

Scott, how long have you watched Dom? He doesn't settle down and he doesn't stay in net. It's a tragedy and we all must suffer at least twelve heart attacks a season (and then there's playoffs!!), but he's the Dominator and it's part of his...style?

I initially warned about something being a bit off about Lidstrom several weeks ago, but....

Last night he was BRILLIANT. The goal that you missed was proof that Lidstrom is at the top of his game.

I still have some reservations and concerns about him (he did take a useless penalty.....EXTREMELY out of the ordinary) but he is showing that he can produce.

Grandpa Hasek, however, is giving my heart a workout.....I wish he would settle down, stay in the net, and quit committing so early....but than again, Dom is Dom.

I too have noticed the lack of spark from Zetterberg. Not that it has shown in his production. At some points, he seems to have a lack of energy and edge. Though he has also shown rather sudden flares of brilliance. Same with Lidstrom. Rafalski has been the Wings best defencemen.
