I can't stand people who make incorrect generalizations. Cujo gets brushed aside with "can't win in the playoffs" mantra, which basically amounts to parroting what media shoves down our throats to appease the Ilitches, Holland, etc.
Check Cujo's playoff record in 2004. It was brilliant, but yet because Calgary beat the Wings, it was all his fault. Wrong. Cujo nearly stole that series on his own, nobody could score against Kiprosoff.
Hasek, conversely, usually only had to deal with 15-25 shots per game, he wasn't facing a barrage like Joseph did.
Another thing in support of Curtis: All those teams listed above (except Detroit) were underachievers, and he nearly did the impossible and provided unbelivable goaltending.
People just look at the bottom line: If you don't win a Cup, you suck. That is unfair and off base.

I wouldn't. Joseph can't succeed in the playoffs. Not in Toronto, not in Edmonton, not in St. Louis, and most importantly not in Detroit.

Well, I think it may be time to panic now. Mathieu Schneider just signed a two year deal with the Ducks. So much for wanting to stay in Detroit.

I hope Kenny can get Markov back now though. Adn with the Salary Cap going up to (I think) $54 million, the Wings should use that extra cash to try and land a huge name, like Ryan Smyth. He could be everything Big Bert would be, but even better in my opinion.

Come on Kenny, I have faith in you, give us Wings fans a treat!

I have an idea! Let's let Hasek go, and sign UFA Curtis Joseph...we can let him and Ozzy battle it out for the top spot, only until Hasek decides he wants another go-round.

It would be a brilliant marketing play.

Ahh, the good ol' days.
