Ozzie took us to the cup once already, he's had a fantastic season and has proven he's worth more than what we're paying him. You just know every other team in the league is jealous; some GMs would give an arm to have two cup winning goal tenders on their team playing the way our boys are.

I hate seeing the Wings lose, but tonight I think it needs to happen. Dallas needs the points, we don't. If they can keep 5th seed and we drop to 4th, it would be a great matchup for the playoffs and give us the best chance to win in the first round versus playing any other team aside from the Wild IMO. It's a risky proposition, but the Wings have the choice between 1st and 4th. Do you keep 1st and play Calgary, or go with 4th and risk playing the Sharks? Either team could destroy us.

I agree about Osgood. It was certainly the best performance by a Wings goalie in months, if not the season. Dom honestly has a bit of a tough act to follow. I hope he doesn't let Osgood's big game last night get to him.

If he turns it on and is stellar tonight, my confidence will soar.

I thought Osgood was the MVP of the game. Sure, he'd like to have that one goal back... it was a great shot though. The 'turds could have had some great chances and could have had a couple more goals in the first period, which would have completely changed the game.
I haven't seen Osgood look this solid in a long time!! I think it might have been a better performance than any of Hasek's this year. It's good to see great goaltending from Osgood and Hasek before going into the playoffs! That's been one of my doubts about the team the whole year... if Hasek gets hurt, Ozzie wouldn't be able to carry us through... but I think my worries have been put to rest for the time being.

GO WINGS!!!!!
