Everything I read about Smyth seemed to indicate that both parties wanted to get a deal done. Apparently they weren't too determined... I would have thought Nordstrom would have been an untouchable player for the Kings. Seemed like he was kind of their rock. Guess they didn't think so... TSN says they got Jaroslav Modry and a prospect named Johan Fransson (Maybe they thought they were getting Franzen...) as well as a few draft picks. Obviously they're in a rebuilding stage right now.
