[...] That’s 3 points a night from each line which is very solid. On the Wings has a very good writeup on the game. Here is Megan and Sarah’s take on Samuelsson’s first goal and Zetterberg’s game-winning goal: Just after the Steen penalty expired, Pavel Datsyuk sent a pass through the crease, which was redirected by Cleary to a wide-open Mikeal Samuelsson, who promptly shoveled it into the net. 1-0 Detroit. Paul Maurice can only chuckle as he finds his team in an all-too-familiar position. [...]

The best part of tonight's game was definitely Maltby's face after Gill knocked him into the net.

It would have been nice to see a more competitive game tonight. We won't get to see another game versus Toronto this year (unless they meet in the Stanely Cup Finals, of course), and we won't get to see another at the Joe for a couple years.

Great post, girls!

I've never seen a team more determined to commit penalties, especially given the fact that the Wings kept making them pay. I'd hate to be in that lockerroom. Maurice looked like he was ready to blow. I wonder if he'll quit rather than be fired.
