[...] The team has been having some injury troubles and matters were not helped Wednesday night when Johan Franzen went down with a concussion and a possible knee injury after a late hit by Canucks defenseman Willie Mitchell. Franzen is expected to be out for at least a week. The Wings apparently have no plans to bring anyone up since they already have enough healthy guys. [...]

I don't get it either, Sarah. You'd think they'd know they're walking on egg shells now with the goaltending situation. Maybe the idea is that MacDonald will not be pulled, no matter what. That'd be pretty harsh, if he were to get shelled.

Ozzie was their insurance against a Hasek injury. They're fortunate he's only out a few weeks. With three back-to-back series in the next 3-4 weeks, I would hope they'd reconsider not bringing Liv up.

I don't understand why Holland would suddenly change his mind about having Dom play backup. A few days ago, it wasn't ok and we had to call someone up, but now that we know it's for an extended period of time (ie. Dom may have more than one chance to come into a game cold), now it's allright? What gives? Personally I think they should just call Liv up when Joey's gonna play and then send him back down. I wouldn't expect he'd get too many starts and I'm all for taking every possible precaution with Dom, especially with Osgood injured.
