First-round playoff opponent settled

Colorado lost last night but it was in overtime so they got the point they needed to avoid playing the Wings. That means we’ll see the Oilers in the first round, starting Saturday at 2:00 ET. I can’t say I’m thrilled about this matchup, given the trouble Edmonton has given the Wings this year but that’s no excuse not to win.

Hey Matt-

Where did you find out about the game time? I can’t seem to find it anywhere and I’m trying to figure out which playoff game this round I can go to with finals this week and next!

I read it on A2Y and Kukla’s Korner, who apparently got it from CBC last night during the Vancouver/Colorado game. I haven’t seen it online anywhere else but I’m assuming they are right.

this is kinda a bummer. i was looking to see both teh wings and the oilers in the second round since the two are my favourite teams after the.. canucks.

well now it’s a series NOT to miss, despite finals and all.
