During W.W.2 my father was either in Holland or the netherlands and while he was there his outfit was billeted in the homes of people in a small town. He befriended a young boy and the boy never forgot him. I remember a day in the early 60s when a knock came at our door and it was the same guy my dad had befriended. He was now a player for either N.Y or Toronto. He visited for the day but for the life of me i cannot remember his name as i was young. My dad is no longer with us so I was hoping you could help.
