On the Wings

….Defenseman Jiri Fischer (left knee) continues to skate with the Wings and hopes to get medical clearance soon from team physician David Collon to begin full practices. He’ll undergo an exam to test the strength in the knee Thursday.
Fischer, who had surgery Dec. 2 to repair a torn anterior cruciate ligament, still wants to return to the lineup before the end of the regular season……

This is good news for the Wings. Hopefully he’ll pass the test easily and come back for Thursday’s game so he can get 2-3 games in before the playoffs. His timing’s going to be off so getting a couple extra games in before the big dance will help. As long as he doesn’t come back before he’s really ready….
